Smile need help with Samba config please

I have fc6 running (very nicely) and I have samba up and running, I can see the windows box on my lan, and can see the linux machine from the windows box but can not access the 'public' folders on either machine from the other... I do have antivirus/firewall (trend micro) running on the windows box, and am using the linux built in firewall (I have it enabled) I am not using SElinux tho... it causes a lot of trouble in some areas...
what have I missed?
thank you in advance!
Loren

I've used this samba page to help me get it going:
