Need help with orca and linux mint 7
Hello I am not sure how knowledgeable you all are in accessability with linux but I am trying to start Orca in the Linux Mint 7 Gloria Distro. I figured that if I hit CTRL F2 I could get the run box up and type ORCA but it doesn't work. Do you guys know if it comes pre installed in Linux Mint 7 or if I have to do some technical installation of it. I had some one search around in the accessability section and they seen nothing about starting orca right away. There was a check box that said start orca without magnifier on start up. I checked that and restarted and nothing happened. If it isn't installed can I just install it with a CD instead of the technical stuff. Thanks all

Hi -
You want to use the "Synaptic" GUI. Synaptic will tell you whether or not Orca is installed and, if not, should be able to get it for you. From CD or Internet - your preference. Look here for more information: http://linuxgazette.net/137/lazar.html http://www.ehow.com/how_2243216_inst...-synaptic.html 'Hope that helps .. PSM |
