Need help with java version conflict.


I installed JDK 1.6 wich also installs JRE. I still have the old JRE. How do I remove the old JRE and install the new JRE in the correct path and location?

How did you install the old one? Was it Pat's slack-pack?

As for "the correct path and location": you don't. You change
the path to match reality. Edit your script in /etc/profile.d/
