Question Need help with internet on Ubuntu 10.10

I need assistance in connecting to the internet in Ubuntu 10.10
Ubuntu detects my wireless card and the driver seems to load correctly according to the information provided in a terminal window. Yet I can not detect any networks or even connect.

I just installed Ubuntu less than 24 hours ago and have not changed any settings except changing my background image. I am new to Ubuntu and would really like to get it online.

I also have Windows Vista installed on the computer and am to get online just fine while using that OS, but not while using Ubuntu OS.

If I need to post more and/or certain information from a terminal window or about hardware, etc, please let me know.

If any could assist I would very grateful.

Install the broadcom sta driver. Instructions there for both if you have a wired network connection, or how to install off the installation CD if you do not.
