Need Help with installing software in SuSe 9.1

Ok, well, I'm working on getting ndiswrapper working. But, i'm at the part of the tut where i install the software. I put it in a directory, open a terminal, navigate to that directory, and type make. it says bash: make: command not found i try make install and the same thing happens. anything that has make in it doesnt work. I tried it on other distros and i got the same problem. There IS a make file. I'm using SuSe 9.1

heres a pic of the folder with ndiswrapper in it-

The Install or Readme file should contain the instructions you need to type in order to compile.

You can do: cat <filename> to read from commandline.

That means you didn't install the development tools. If you've got SuSE 9.1 Professional, they're all supplied. You'll need at least the make and gcc packages (I think the names are right anyway - stuck on Windows at work right now :(). If you've got the Personal edition, I think you can get the relevant packages from the SuSE download pages - I don't really know any details about that though.
