Need help with fedora core 5 grub

I have finally got fedora core 5 installed onto my system but for some reason it seems it hasn't installed a grub.

I have my PC setup so that i have windows on my 80gb HDA and FC5 installed on HDB.
It said it has installed a grub but everytime i reboot it goes straight into windows startup without loading a grub.

Does anyone know why this has happened and if not could you point me to a grub installation directory

Did you install grub to the Master Boot Record of the first disk? If you're getting the windows bootloader, I'd have to assume that you installed it to the root partition instead or the MBR of the 2nd disk. You either need to install to the MBR of the 1st hard disk (the one with Windows) or swap the drives in the BIOS prior to booting and see if that solves your problem.

Sounds like you installed to te root partition rather than the MBR. Boot the first CD into recovery mode and run grub-install.
Search LQ for "sysimage and grub-install" should help (I don't use FC).
