Firewalls usually block ports, not content, so a firewall is the wrong tool for your purpose. You need to install a filtering proxy for what you want to achieve, for example Squid:

isn't exactly descriptive of the situation you are facing.

Can you elaborate?
Are there any error messages?
Content that should be filtered but isn't?
Does squid start?

Basically, we need info on what what steps you've taken and what isn't working in detail.
