Need help setting up Qmail or Sendmail for use with dialup ( RH 9)
 

Hi all,

I need some help with setting up qmail (preferably) or sendmail for use with my dialup net access. I would like to be able to spool all my outgoing mail when not online & then have it sent automagically when I go online. I'd also like to recieve my log related system mail.

All the stuff I've read to this point seems to assume I have some kind of dedicated access with a static hostname. God, please don't tell me I finally am the last person on this planet actually using 56k.

www.dyndns.org has a means to assign you a domain name to your dynamic ip address. You need a domain name for smtp to work properly. There are other sites available the perform this service.:)
