Need help loading any torrent program on Knoppix
 

Note: I am so new to linux that I don't understand a code that you might tell me to enter into the terminal emulator if you don't include the 'knoppix@Microknoppix:~$' that automatically comes before it.

Anyway. I have knoppix installed on my hard drive. I like it that way, because it is the only way my old computer will work. I could use another computer, but I want to maximise this one first.

I want to download a torrent program on my computer. Would someone please direct me with a idiot's (forget dummy's, go full retard's) guide to putting a simple torrent program like utorrent (any small torrent program will do). I found at one time as thread that spoke of how on this site, but I cannot find it now. Also it said how to do it if knoppixs was run off a CD as it was intended. I need the 'knoppix is downloaded to my hard drive version.

Whatever torrent program that you recommend will be on my desktop when I download it.

When I open my LXTerminal it says:

knoppix@Microknoppix:~$

When I type in 'su' and hit enter it says:

root@Microknoppix:/home/knoppix#

What next?

root@Microknoppix:/home/knoppix# apt-get install rtorrent

now you have installed rtorrent on your system
you can find on google how to use rtorrent
