Question Need Help Installing GnuCash

I'm very new to using linux and not sure how to go about installing applications yet. I have Fedora 10 on my computer at home and recently dowloaded GnuCash using a computer at work running WinXp. The downloaded file, from GnuCash.org, is a WinZip file. Is there anything I need to do to it before I burn it to a cd? And once it's on a cd how do I go about installing it on my computer at home using Fedora 10?

Why don't you use the packet manager?

depends on what you downloaded.
first do
Code:
unzip foo.zip
then look what you downloaded.

install rpm file
Code:
rpm -ivh foo.rpm
install tarfile:
Code:
tar -xvf foor.tar
or
Code:
tar -xvzf foo.tar.gz
then read the readme files.

So there's not a problem with the file being a WinZip file?

no, you can use unzip.
However, if the file contains a "exe" file, it will not work in linux.
