need help install wifi drivers on my compaq presario v6000 using openSUSE 10.3
i have downloaded and installed openSUSE 10.3 on my compaq laptop. i cannot figure out how to install the wireless drivers. i have read forums about "ndiswrapper." i have downloaded 1.52 and tried that but with no luck. i am stuck at a point using the "make" command.
Yes you'll need to find out which chipset you have. I have a compaq presario as well and I recently got my wireless working after hours of trying. If you have an Atheros card I can probably help you.

You can download bcmfwcutter and use the native linux driver with this card. Doing so will give you better support than ndiswrapper. Look for fwcutter in your repositories, and if its not obvious how to use it, google it. Easy stuff
I have a Compaq Presario CQ56 and am having issues installing or even finding Linux drivers. specifically my WiFi card. I have installed Linux Mint but am willing to instal any version of Linux. Can anyone help or point me in right direction?
