Question Need help for audio & video editing softwares in Linux

Hello guys
I need help for softwares for audio & video editing in the Linux.
I am working for project where audio and video editing softwares are required.Thus anyone who knows those softwares please tell required .
rpm based or .deb based softwares .
Currently we are using Edious & other related softwares on MS Windows
platform facing problems,thus if there are any compatible softwares to those please help. Thank you.

For any mistake please forgive.

I like audacity for audio editing, and I hear good things about Kino for video editing.
