Still no go. Can't get past the /sbin/loader crap...

Sorry, I've got nothing else to go on. I guess until somebody else chimes in here you could try starting another disk partitioning program from the install disk. The first time you come to any kind of command prompt after booting off the install idsk (this may mean that in the first screen, you pick one of the other options rather than just hitting enter) try and see if you can use the folowing progs, in order of ease of use...

parted
cfdisk
fdisk

I'm pretty sure the last one will NOT let oyu resize, so I guess there's no point in using that. Just type those commands at the prompt and see if any of them start. If they do, follow the same basic principal I just outlined, but be aware this will likely not be a nice, easy to look at GUI program and will require lots of keyboard usage. No biggie, just FYI...

Let us know, and hopefully somebody else will jump in here and help out...

I had the same problem as you.

I downloaded a boot cd with a few bootable tools to work on the hard drive.
My recommendation is to do the following:
Download Ultimate boot cd.
http://ubcd.sourceforge.net/

Burn the ISO

Burn the correct one. (The one with all the tools)
Use your manufacturers programs on it to work on your hard drive.
(ERASE everything)

pop in your Fedora Core 3 cd. in text only mode.
give it a try.

and USE http://www.google.com/linux
Best tech support tool on the web.

Sorry... I re-read your first post.
Didn't realize you had a windows partition.

Might want to give it a try in text mode instead of graphical mode anyway.
It would eleminate some potential issues.
