I am on Nexenta OS and have no idea how to connect to the internet at all. If someone could help, that would be nice.

I'm sorry, but you're giving us nothing to go on here. What sort of internet connection do you have? Is it one that you use an ethernet card to connect to? If so, what is the output, on a terminal, of "ifconfig -a"?

I'm not familiar with your distrobution, but I went through something similar when I first started. The best thing is to use the search at the top of the page and in Forums type modem internet dialup. This will give you posts on win modems and serial modems, etc. I can tell you I opt. for buying a serial modem and it made my life a lot easier.

I vaguely remember setting up a dial-up connection in Linux, once...I recall it being a painful process.

PS. femi1, do not make more than one post for the same issue, the moderators don't like it.
