As it says, run
Code:
dpkg --configure -a
as root.

And post the whole error message - do you want help or not?

Welcome to LQ.

1) sudo dpkg --configure -a

2) sudo apt-get update

3) sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre
for runtime java.

4) sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jdk
for developing > javac > compiling.

Good luck.
