Need help badly! Destroyed computer while installing different OS's
 

This is my first post so it's nice to be here.

So to the computer problem. I had win 10. UEFI 64 bit with 16 gigs of ram. My motherboard is H81M-S2H, so there's no direct UEFI to Legacy switch. I have changed everything with the word UEFI to disabled or to Legacy. Now whenever I boot my computer I see a black screen and blinking cursor. Or if I try to boot from a USB I just see "Boot error". I have a mac laptop which means I use Unetbootin to get linux operating systems unto my computer. When my computer worked with USB OS, while downloading linux's the closest it got was to the logo. I almost installed Linux Mint, but I had no wifi. Fml .-.

Not sure why you are turning off UEFI. Are you trying to boot an old distribution? My suggestion on BIOS would be to restore defaults. Then boot a live DVD and repair or reinstall.

There is no reason you can not install Mint UEFI, not sure why you disabled that. Since you say you are using a Mac, do you still have their original OS on this computer or is it just windows 10. The link below is to the Ubuntu documentation on installing with UEFI. Since Mint uses the same installer, the major difference between Mint and Ubuntu here will be the background color.

Alrighty then. Hope you can understand that we are here and you are there.
We can only go by what you tell us.

Since it is destroyed. Maybe start over with Windows.

Then try a dual boot from there.

Perhaps you need to clearly state:

Where you started
What you did
What you are trying to accomplish

I can't make heads or tails from your first post.

Quick update. I re enabled UEFI and somethings working. My usb is getting detected again and I ain't getting the boot error msg anymore. But every single linux I install usually breaks. Something about killing the operation idk.

What I'm trying to acomplish should be obvious. I'm on a LINUX forum help site saying that my usb is not installing Linux. :/

Ok let me try to re explain.

The computer I am trying to install linux on is a windows, or NON mac hardware.

I have a SPARE laptop which is what I'm writing on right now.

What is not so obvious.
How did you make the usb exactly?
Did you md5sum check the downloaded Linux iso before installing to usb?
Screen shots or photos from sites like http://imgur.com/ are a plus in troubleshooting.

What is obvious to you is not obvious to us. Just simple logistics.

Ok. I kinda fixed this but I still need help. I want to install lubuntu, but I can't because I am not connected to the wifi. I have my wireless card connected but how do I enable it? Oh and terminal is not opening.

you have to get the lubuntu .iso from the internet one way or another.
make a bootable usb from it (or cd/dvd if you prefer).
boot the live system, open a terminal, typeand post the content here.

Welcome to the forum :)

It appears You have a working ethernet port, I would use this until you can get your wireless up and running, if possible. I'm not seeing your wireless adapter in your lspci list. Is it a USB adapter? If so, please post the results from this command...

Also, what error(s) do you receive, if any, when you try to bring up the terminal?

Terminal works fine. I just booted it wrong. I opened terminal to use all these commands. I have my wireless card put into my computer.
