You may also have gvim. It operates pretty much the same as vim, but adds menu's. That can make it easier to learn the commands. I like being able to use sed like find and replace commands.

I read a joke once where an emacs user was bragging to a vim user that with all of the features of emacs such as lisp, email, and zippy, he had an entire operating system built in. The vim guy responded, "Yes, you have a great OS there with emacs. The only thing you are missing is a good text editor".
