Ned help with apache.

im trying to just see if it is working. I type in telnet localhost 80. then it says unable connect to remote host:connection refused. Why is it doing this?

What happens when you try to connect to your ip address instead?

Is apache even running? How do you know?

when i type in ps ax | grep httpd i get "1982pts/0 S 0:00grep" is that working? how do i find out my ip if im on a lan?
