ndiswrapper, ubuntu wireless belkin
 

just joined linux questions today, have been interested a long time, I am not a programmer, but my son is, He gave my daughter a ubuntu programmed computer, I want to network it to mine and my wifes windows laptops. My daughters is a desktop without a wireless card. I bought for her a Belkin wireless G USB adapter ver 5000 all my research around ubuntu and linux forums are frustrating, I guess I need to learn to download ndiswrapper, and targizes and get expert in synaptic package manager and basic linux commands such as more, sudo, alp-get, so I will not continue to get no command found or more unreadable program lists. any help out there? It is hard to communicate with my son, in another state, he gets frustrated with me for not understanding networking language.
