Nautilus, set view for folder + subfolders

How can I set the default view for a folder and apply this to all subfolders also?
For example.. I have all my photo's categorized in a lot of folders and I want the default view to be "Icon View" without having to set the view for every individual folder.

Using Nautilus 2.28.4

Possible with Windows Explorer so I figured this could be done with Nautilus.

It looks like TruongAn's suggestion is correct.
His solution opens the same dialogue box as doing the following from a Nautilus window's menu:
Edit > Preferences.

From there, you should be able to choose the settings you want.

folder settings

this has not been answered satisfactorily. i am also am experiencing this frustration.

there does not seem to be a way to quickly and permanently set the view for a single branch of the directory tree!!

where are the view settings stored?
could there be a way to script this?
