Nautilus does not allow me to run .exe from CD rom in REDHAT

I have red hat 9 and when i try to run a appilication from a CD rom it says that sometrhing is missing in the Nautilus installation. I know i installed a full desktop installation so why is this not working? Where can i find the place to install the factors needed to run these things in the CD rom from Nautilus. Also everyone always talks about kppp. What is this, and why would i need it? Also i tried to find it on my red hat system but i couldn't. Where is it located? Much Thanks!!!!!!!!!

if you are literally trying to run .exe files, they will not run. Those are for dos/windows and you'll need something like wine to run them (not all of them will run well even with wine).

kppp is for dial-up modems. If you don't have a modem, you don't need it.

Did you say it's an .exe file? Linux doen't run windows' exe files unless you use an emulator like wine.
