nautilus cannot display smb
 

I am using RH 8. and I open nautilus. I smb: in the Location field and I get the following error:

Nautilus cannot display "smb:///".

I can connect to the share drives via the shell though. Any thoughts?

i use rh 8.0-

try smb://"workgroup" where "workgroup" is the name of your , well, workgroup. dont use the quotes

That did not work but I added the following line in my smb.conf file and I can see the workgroup now:

netbios name = "workgroup"

where "workgroup" equals the name of the workgroup set up in Windows.
