I just tried this for the first time. When I click on the button on Facebook to upload an image, then click on browse, the window shows the picture in the right hand side.

I am also using Ubuntu 10.04.

Good news facebook fanatics, we developed a software that instantly zoom facebook pictures - http://download.cnet.com/Facebook-Zo...-75744517.html. Facebook zoom is a free tool allowing to enlarge thumbnail Facebook images by hovering over them with your mouse.
