Nautilus 2.6.x

I installed FC2 which came with Naut 2.6.0. There is no toolbar, no index in help, opening a folder opens a new window (NT4 like), no options to change this behaviour, cannot see smb shares... my complaint list is too long. I see 2.6.3 is available. Are these issues fixed in 2.6.3 or are there more options in 2.6.0 than what I am finding?

Any word on FC3's release?

Nautilus 2.6 introduced what's called a 'spatial' user interface by default.

See for more information. This will not be regressed in future nautilus releases, but you can alter a setting to have nautilus act more like older versions.

Heh. Nautilus was ALWAYS crashing at startup on one of my linux machines running gnome... Try xfce4
