Nagios service alert on HTTP


Hi all,

Getting below alert from Nagios server.
How to resolve this issue.

Code:
Notification Type: PROBLEM

Service: HTTP
Host: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1
State: WARNING

Date/Time: Fri Mar 2 08:45:21 EST 2012

Additional Info:

HTTP WARNING: HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden - 4183 bytes in 0.001 second response time

We have no idea. You can't just paste in what your monitor service tells us and expect a resolution, that's not realistic.

You need to actually look at the server, determine IF there is a problem to even fix, and then proceed that way. Maybe this is actually a problem with the way you're monitoring it, not the server?
