n00b Wine question
 

i'm just wondering if you need windows "under" linux to use wine or could you just install windows programs, like dreamweaver (which i plan to se it for) into your linux partition?

What wine does, is create a "fake" Windows system inside Linux. Programs like Dreamweaver then run inside this environment. You don't need Windows installed on the same computer. Some programs require certain dll files to run well and you will need access to a Windows box to acquire them.

Try to avoid downloading them from somewhere on the Internet. Hope this helps a little.
