hello,
any body here to help me ?
i m waqiting................

linuxlover.chaitanya 05-18-2009 06:24 AM

What do you get when you start it by

/etc/init.d/mysqld start

And why are you bumping your own thread in time span of less than one hour? you are not paying anyone here to help you out. Members will help you when they have time out of their work.

Rehan, nobody's insulting anyone. You bumped your thread after 40 minutes, which is a bit rude, to be honest. As was your reply to linuxlover. Appealing to the mods isn't going to do you a lot of favors either.

Anyway, take a look at the mysql logs:
/var/log/mysqld.log
and see if there's anything obviously wrong. It's usually pretty helpful.

Dave

Why are you here if you do not want any help? And this is likely to be called rude by most of the members here if you bump your own thread within less than hour of posting. All the members here are volunteers and take time out of their schedules to help others. Do not ask force anyone to reply to your posts without much information.
I asked you to execute the command and post the output. That is what informational is. You were running wrong command.

service start mysql is what you were executing while it should be service mysqld start

NO---YOU be careful.

First, no one insulted you. The admonition about bumping was correct and came only after he gave you some useful info.

Please tone it down and be patient.

Also please use complete words: you, your, you are, thanks, for

i m writing in simple language that i dont want help from u
and by the way i have already tried the command but its not working.

ok my mistake i dont know that i have to wait 30 minutes but u r also using very harsh language and i m not force any one to answer me.I m writing that i want help. I think u easily understand the meaning of help

If you behave in such a way no one can help you and you cant force anyone because you are not paying, peoples are helping on their free time, however check your datadir whether it is existing with default database, if not try to install_db once again

rehan21;

Second warning: Stop complaining about people that are trying to help you.
