My wireless card doesnt always work on kali linux!
Ive bought a new wireless card "alfa wireless card" for kali linux system inside a VB so i can use it in penetration testing and nmaping, and the wireless card is recognized by the system.
the thing is, after killing the processes in airmon-ng check wlan0 and after going to monitor mode , i type airodump-ng wlan0 to scan the wifis nearby and nothing shows up! not a single network shows up.
but sometimes the networks do show up but it's just for a small period of time say one minute or so.
What's the issue with my connection based on your experience?
A web-search of a bit for your post: airmon-ng check wlan0
finds this (&more of course), that seems to indicate it happened to others, and a workaround.
Google is your friend. You will find that people are not very inclined to help you when you show no effort to help yourself. You've given very little information to help you which shows you haven't done any sort of research. We need concrete information about your system and hardware.
Thank u ppl for replying to my post.. I think u two hv been very helpful and it's possible that i hv not stated my issue in depth enough.. I discoved the issue with trial and error that my wireless card is not functioning properly thus stoping the aircrack commands at one time and initiating them at another. Again thank u ppl
