My wireless adapter is recognized... but I have a prob... (I have a copy-paste)

This is what I get when I go to Network Settings- YaST

AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter (Not connected)
BusID : 0000:03:00.0
Unable to configure the network card because the kernel device (eth0, wlan0) is not present. This is mostly caused by missing firmware (for wlan devices). See dmesg output for details.

I am an ultra-newbie...

I use OpenSUSE 11.0 Gnome

Thanks in advance...

I haven't seen this error before, however it's possible that kernel level support is not present and or the firmware is not configured properly.

I recommend using dmesg for the output, which should provider additional information as this is the driver messages.

Go into console and use the command: dmesg

You can use grep to improve results.
