My wife said "DO IT"!

I use Suse 9.2 Pro and KDE 3.3, I had windows xp on a master, and installed Suse on a Slave. No problem. I then made the choice to wipe al HD's and start fresh with Suse. Well now I find myself in a situation where "WE"/she wants to use windows from time to time (Sony Net MD, Netflix movie previews, her collection of WMA's... ect) and I need to install XP on a slave and have dual boot. How do I go about doing this without reinstalling Linux. Will windows give me the option back, to choose OS at startup if I install xp to a slave?

I'm still very new and just don't want to have to tweek Linux again.

Any pointers would be great!

XP doesn't play nice alongside other operating systems. Install XP first on master and Linux on slave, and use LILO to boot into XP.

Well XP seems to work fine alongside Linux, but just doesn't play nice when it isn't the first thing installed on the drive and doesn't get to set up everything the way it wants it first.

I have been able to play the few WMA files I have run across with mplayer (Suse 9.3).
The wma files do not show up in the mplayer list of movie files but if I right click and use open with mplayer they play fine.

I like to use a little trick when I install Windows.
When I install Windows I have the hard drive jumpered as master and no other drives connected. Windows happily takes complete control of the MBR. After installation the Windows drive gets jumpered and installed as a slave and I use the map-drive function available in either lilo or grub to tell Windows it is still on the master drive when booting. If Windows ever needs a reinstall or just generally throws a hissy fit (like mine did with the last security updates) just temporally install the Windows drive as the only primary master again and it is quite happy when it can once again dominate the MBR. (I had to run fixboot from the rescue console after installing security updates. Hmmm...)
