My VisualBox and Appearance Settings disappear when I swap to a different user

I got ubuntu 8.10 a few days ago (installed by wubi), this is my first time on linux so I guess I'm a newbie. When I installed new icons/themes and what not in the appearance settings it would stay there but one I logged on to a different user it wasn't there and I had to install it again.

I spent a while setting up Windows XP on VisualBox and then when I logged on to another user there was no windows xp option in the visualbox. Is there a way to make these installations the same because I sure don't want to go through the windows xp installation for each user. Thanks for replying, help appreciated.

" .Virtualbox " is a hidden directory placed in
/home/GoodLukeing/

Reusing it is possible, using tar to pack it, and then
unpack to other user's /home/other-user/

It goes like this

'tar -cf myVirtualbox.tar .Virtualbox/'
'sudo mkdir /usr/local/tmp'
'sudo cp myVirtualbox.tar /usr/local/tmp'

Then log out, next login as other user and
1) 'cp /usr/local/tmp/myVirtualbox.tar .'
( the dot means the current directory )
2) You may want to remove the currently existing
.Virtualbox, in order not to confuse things,
before doing 3).
3) 'tar xvf myVirtualbox.tar' : Then you have it all
at the "other-user".

( Copying or linking the original .Virtualbox
somewhere else will not work )
....
