Its highly unlikely that you have a virus in GNU/Linux unless you did something terribly bad and silly. Also, with the distoes that come preinstalled, you could have spamware from the manufacturer and a bad distribution.

I would recommend you install any popular KDE distribution (Mageia, Mint KDE, Debian, Slackware etc etc) and use the "netbook" interface.

You will learn about GNU/Linux if you do that as well, and you will be better of with a proper and clean non-manufacturer distro.

Good luck!

Tron, you did send me an e-mail. I replied in a very similar vein to you- I should have given many kudos to you! How thoughtless of me. Your e-mail, was so kind. The fact that you took the time to assure me that linux was a good system and not to get rid of my 900, really sharpened my focus. Frankly it did let me sniffle, eat ice cream for breakfast and slide back into my comfy high heels, talk about good for the soul! Thank you my friend.

Astro, you are one of the most patient persons on earth- you wouldn't happen to have come from Tibet, would you?

Joe, ARE YOU NUTS? Play around? Can you imagine what my next question would be??? Wait, you just want to be able to give me a little shove again- you're a Crunchbang bully! I knew I liked you for a reason.

Wild penguin, Neanderthal? You're at least Cro-Magnon, give yourself some credit-

Since I'm off topic, I'm going to run- Unspawn is lurking, I just know it. Called me a rude troll, I haven't been called that since high school. Nice to know I still have it. Looking back he had good reason- I have put the Voo doo doll away.

I really do intend to convert my aspire- so I will be seeing you soon- stock up on pain killers!
