my usb pendrive is not been detected in redhat 5.0. I
 

I have a transcend pendrive that is not been detected in my redhat 5.0 server edition.It works properly on windows platform.

What does "not detected" mean? Where/how do you expect it
to be detected? How are you verifying that RHEL doesn't know
about the device?

actually whenever i attach some other pendrive then kernel detects it and mount it in media by default.i also checked /dev but no pendrive was detected there.so if u know how to solve the issue then plz reply.
