my question is apache installed with redhat??


i am trying to find out if apache is installed with redhat i would like to use php and mysql and iam wondering if i have down load them and compile to my computer in order to use them?? hope some one could help lol i feel like a total newbie :P....

apache was installed if you installed everything or if I remember there was a server option. If you installed just the desktop option then it wasn't.

whereis httpd
You can probably find rpm packages of the software you want. Try
freshrpms.net
rmpfind.net

i have the server installed with redhat domain name servce and http along with nfs, samba.
i domain name servce and http are for web hosting....do i have to download mysql and php and compile them to get them to work with domain and http...???

Yes, you would need to install mysql and php modules for apache in order to make apache work with them.
