My Linux RHEL 6.1 running on vmware, stuck at grub>

My Linux box RHEL6.1 I think something wrong with my system, I thought I'll reboot the system and here I am stuck at the grub> prompt, and I don't know what to do next.

Any idea?

As you said that you have got RHEL 6.1 did you contact Redhat to get it sorted? Did you make any changes before your restarted the machine?

seeing as this is RHEL 6 .I suggest you use the red hat support
RHEL is not free .
The RECOMMENDED standard 1 year contract is $299/ year and IS RECOMMENDED ( now there is a $49 version) if you are going to use red hat .

if not then install CentOS 6 or ScientificLinux 6
Both are free rebuilds of RHEL 6 - BUT YOU are the support staff , there is none provided to you .

Now if you do have a support contract then use it to login to the red hat web site and search the rhn knowledge base
for the key word " vmware"
