My desktop background dissappeared.....Slackware, KDE 3.2

So, I'm running 9.1 Slackware and have upgraded to KDE 3.2. When I went to sleep last night there was a background there. This morning my background is merely light blue. I went and reset the background in the controls, but the background remains light blue no matter what I set it as. Any thoughts?

umm, silly question, did you click in kde control center on the APPLY button?

2) assuming you did, did you install another program shortly after kde upgrade and what is it, it may be corrupting your /opt/kde files?
