My computer will not recognize my second internal -Maxtor slave - hard disk.

My computer will not recognize my maxtor slave hard disk. It is not listed under disk management either. It is enabled in my bios. When I try to detect it in my device manager it says its not properly connected to my computer- "code 45". Well, I've reconnected all my wires 5 times at least, my jumpers are set to slave. Please help.

No because it's a Linux command, so won't work on Windows. Why are you even asking about a Windows problem in a Linux forum?

first check your hard drive in BIOS setting.
there is also jumper settings in HDD which should be configured as slave.
