Multiple same entries in Gnome volume control
 

Hello all.
I'm facing a problem with the volume control on my FC3/Gnome 2.8 desktop.
When i open the volume control, i see 10-12 same entries of EMU10K1,EMU10K1 PCM,etc. I know that EMU10K1 has something to do with my SB Live card, but i can't figure out why there are so many same controls?
Has anybody got any idea what should i do in order to delete the multiple instances?

You're probably alright, sounds like the mixer is just giving you more channels than you're used to seeing. There are different channels for different functions of the card.

i haven't had a problem with the sound....
i just thought it was very strange to have so many same volume controls...
and actually, i think the multiple instances appeared after playing around with some 'dsp' settings when i was testing 'skype'...
anyway, i'll leave it as it is since it causes no trouble...
