multiple instances of firefox?

Hi i've just installed vncserver and it's working! But when I attempted to launch Firefox from the viewer I got a message that said it was already running - it was running on my console at :0 once I closed the firefox at the console I was able to run it in my vncviewer, does anyone know of a way that I could keep the windown open on the console and then still open a new instance at the viewer?

Thanks!
