multi linux systems on computer?

Hey just wanted to know if you can load more than one linux operating system on one hard drive? is it just like having windows and linux?
I'm using ubuntu now but I really like opensuse as well.

Don't forget which one controls the bootloader though. With 2 grub enabled distros it may not be obvious.

I assume Opensuse would attempt to install its version of grub and detect that you have another Linux installed and add that to its configuration files. Ubuntu wouldn't know about this though, so if you tried to reinstall grub from Ubuntu it would use its own grub configuration which would not include the Opensuse install.

But yes, I've had up to 6 OSes on the same computer. Eventually I realized I was spending 95% of my time in just one.
