Multi-Channel autoplay audio player/sequencer

Hello, I have a Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a Terratec Aureon 7.1 usb Sound Card. I'm looking for a player/sequencer which starts at startup and automatically starts playing a 6-channel audio track. Can anybody help me with this?

I've tried VLC and set everything on Dolby surround but it didn't work.

  • what sort of 6-channel audio track? so far, there's no indication that this is indeed a dolby surround track.
  • can you play this audio track at all?
  • IF you're talking about surround audio, is it working at all on your system?

some info about your setup and some diagnostic output please.
read my signature for hints on how to provide information.

I found it out myself. I own the sequencer Reaper and I found out that you can install it on a Raspberry pi. Than I installed the SWS Extensionpack. It has an option to run a Command for Reaper on start-up.

Some background on the audio: The ideal setup (which I now have) is that I have the possibility to put at least 5 mono-tracks (at least 24 bits 44.100 kHz) in a player or a at least 5 track surround-file in a program and let it play automatically. The headless Pi will be used for an art piece which is part of a travelling exhibition so the artist or me won't be there all the time. So it needs to Power up, start reaper which automatically starts playing the file in the default project and the 5 monotracks are being played via the USB to different outputs. The audio goes via Reaper to jack through ALSA to the hardware (terminal command:

jack_control ds alsa
)
