multi boot


will linux make my system a multi boot or do I need a separte program.

You bootloader grub or lilo will let you multi boot a machine. Some distros will do the configuration automatically others may need entries added or modified in the bootloader config files.

If you want more information you'll need to specify which systems you are trying to boot and any problems you are experiencing.

I got mandrake 9.1 does this make multi boot

I think that mandrake does attempt to find other systems and add the neccesary entries to your bootloader.

If it doesn't work you may need to tweak/add your bootloader config.

Mandrake 9.1 automatically configures multiboot (Lilo default). I run Win 98 and Win 2000 on the same machine and the MDK install picked these up OK.

i think nearly all distro's make it multiboot (if u have win32 installed already)?
i know debian, redhat, and mandrake do.
