MTU setting!!!
Hi,
I'm currently dual booting win xp with pclinuxos. I've set the mtu on the xp partition, will i have to set it on the linux partition? If yes, how do i do it and save it? P.S. my isp is aol, that's why i change mtu! Many thanks Jason |
man ifconfig

You need to change MTU in every system you use, because it's a runtime parameter, not something that's always the same. MTU is set for an interface, so you always need to specify the interface you need to change it for.

not likely because there is no aol client for linux. I've tried pengaol but could not get it to work. Well if you have broadband I wouldn't worry about it.
