listen to jatt_thugz as to deal with msn its the only way to go....there is so many things that gaim,ccmsn,kmess, etc,etc, lack compared to amsn as referring to a alternative....i have to say, if you use an older version of amsn then yah the others are just as good, and some might be even better....but since they fixed it up in the 0.80 release with some new features it definetaly takes the cake.

and your getting that error cause your not logged in as root.

Try doing that as root..

Also, run an updatedb first, along with an rpmdb rebuild so type:
updatedb
rpm --rebuilddb
Then install the RPM.

How do I install amsn(0.80)? Readme file doesn't show.........

You type:
su -
And then enter your root password.

ok logged in as root and now i got this

By typing
gaim

Of course you will want to logout of root first, so type:
exit
