MSN Messenger for linux
Hii.
I want to know about a software for RedHat linux 9.0 for chatting something like MSN Messenger, please tell me about this along with the process and steps of installation of the software. :newbie: |
Gaim supports many IM protocols including MSN. I you use KDE you might try Kopete, but it tends to crash randomly alot. Search on this forum about installing rpm's, I'm sure both Gaim and Kopete are in the RedHat repositories.

I also had the same problem of MSN Messenger for linux and when after downloading when i did
rpm -Uvh gaim-1.4.0-0rh9.i386.rpm it gave the following error error: Failed dependencies: libgtkspell.so.0 is needed by gaim-1.4.0-0rh9 what should i do please reply :newbie: |
the easiest way is using yum.
# yum install gaim You may have to do: # yum check-update first, and make sure you have the repos (which you should). It should fix the dependancies as well |
