MSEC and permissions for 'user=gdm(72)'

Looking in /var/log/security.log I find this security warning every time there's an MSEC check:

user=gdm(72) : home directory is group writable

All I know is that gdm is 'GNOME Display Manager', and according its man page, "This user/group should have very limited permissions". As it happens, I'm using KDE but would like to avoid having these warnings, so my question is - where do I find this user gdm(72) so I can alter its permissions? I've had a good hunt around, but without success.

Would appreciate any advice.

Looks like nobody knows . . . anyway, for various reasons I have now done a clean re-install and am no longer getting this message. I get a load of others instead. Have given up trying to understand what MSEC is telling me - for example, it says that files are in the wrong groups, or permissions are wrong, when I've only just loaded the system and nothing has been altered.
