MS 4.0 mouse + X

I have a bit of a problem here, ok?

My mouse does works but still it don't. Sometimes the mouse works perfectly and sometime it is only responding when you move the mouse up or down. But It dosent react when you move it to the right or to the left.

To fix that problem i have to reboot alot and plug in and out the mouse time after time to get it right and sometimes i just give up and go do something else :P

But i can't understand why it is doing this it works fine on my windows laptop but not on my linux workstation wich runs on slackware 9.1.

this is my XF86Config for my mouse
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
I have tried ExplorerPS/2 as the protocol aswell -> the same problem

And my question to you is ofcourse why my mouse i behaving like this :S
