mplayer problem i

hi there,

I am a newbie. Good to join you all on the web

I have a problem with Mplayer installed on Fedora core 1. I started using mplayer recently. When I tried to open movie files (.DAT, .mpg, .avi), it failed to play.

The following error message was displayed.

"Fatal error. Error intializing video_output _vo device.

It could play .mp3 files and audio files.

I don't know how to rectify this problem

I welcome your suggestions

regards,
palpandi
