Mplayer DVD problem

I recently installed Mplayer on Fedora 5. It worked fine on the first day. Today I tried watching a movie and I recieved a error message: Failed to open/media/disk. Does anyone know what would cause this?

probably an incorrect path. did you specify one if /dev/dvd is not right? check the manpage, but the full real output would help a little here...

You were right. I have two players. The if I try to use the top one I get the error message:
Failed to open dvd://1
If I use the second one it will play the disc. Is there a way to choose which player I want to use?

most likely you have a symlink at /dev/dvd that points to one of your optical drives, delete it and make a new one that points to the drive you want to use. /end_wild_guess

as per the manpage and documentation (hint hint) use the -dvd-device option.
