MPLAYER DVD initialisation problem
 

Have downloaded and installed Mplayer on my Fedora Core system. Attempts to open a DVD bring up the message:

Error opening/initialising the selected video_out (-vo) device.

Where do I begin to address this issue? Some command line scripts would be very helpful. What doesn't recognise what?

The error pretty much tells you all it can. The -vo (video out) driver you selected isn't available.

hint: mplayer -vo help will tell you the drivers mplayer was compiled with.
